A personalised, collectible doll in an outfit created to replicate the wedding dress worn by the bride as a keepsake of the occasion. This is a personalised item. The main image shows a keepsake doll beside the photograph from which she was created. The doll shown here is an example. Your doll would be based on your photograph. A very special gift for maybe the mother of the bride, or perhaps a nostalgic gift for someone celebrating a silver wedding anniversary (or similar) to remind them of their wedding day. Keepsake dolls are made to order. They take many hours’ work and require at least 3 weeks between order and dispatch.
The basic doll is handmade in calico and measures approximately 40cm tall. A smaller version of the doll (27 cms) is also available.
The main aim is to re-create the clothing, hairstyle etc. The doll’s face is a standard design. Accessories such as bouquets are created as closely as possible given the much smaller scale. The colour of the doll’s eyes, hair and skin can be chosen from a limited range.
The date of the wedding can be embroidered on the doll’s knickers if desired. The doll also has an Ooak Gifts charm sewn on a garter around her leg (see photo).
The doll’s clothing is not made to be removed.
If the customer has some remnants of the original fabrics for the clothing in question this may be suitable to use provided it is not too thick. Many fabrics don’t lend themselves readily to creating garments on a much smaller scale and can be too bulky. If a suitable fabric is not provided by the customer, I will try to find an alternative that’s appears as close to the original as possible.
Neither the doll nor her clothing should be washed. Should cleaning ever be required this should be specialist dry cleaning.

Work on a doll only begins once payment in full has been received and I have been in contact with you about details and have clarified any points I am unsure about with you. If you change your mind before work begins you may request a full refund. Once you have agreed my proposal by email and work begins cancellations are no longer possible as this is a personalised item.

SHIPPING POLICY
I currently only post to addresses in the UK, IOM and Channel Is. For these I charge a flat rate per order from my shop. This is currently £3.45
Every gift can be posted direct to the recipient if required. The option to add a different delivery address can be found on the payment page of checkout. It is only possible to post to one address per order whether that is that of recipient or purchaser.
Shipping is by Royal Mail.
All non-personalised items are ready to post in1 - 3 working days
Please allow up to 4 weeks for personalised items although this might be less depending on the item. You will be advised of likely timescale when placing an order.
Refund Policy
RETURN / REFUND POLICY
NON-PERSONALISED ITEMS
Non-personalised items can be returned for refund or exchange within 14 days of delivery. Goods must be returned in saleable condition in original packaging. You are responsible for return postage costs. Please obtain a proof of posting certificate at least. No refund will be issued until returned item(s) have been received and checked. No refund will be made if goods have been misused and any instructions not followed.
Postage costs for returned items are not refundable .
PERSONALISED ITEMS (Toy bags, astrology necklaces and bracelets, keepsake dolls)
Under UK law items that are personalised in any way are not eligible for return, refund or exchange unless faulty as they are unsuitable for reselling.
Cancellations may be possible during the initial 48 hours depending how much work has already been done. Please contact me if there's a problem.
Each item is individually made and carefully checked. If one does, however, prove faulty please contact me ([email protected]) by email in the first instance with an image or description of the problem.

I Sue Nam am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my shop Ooak Gifts on The British Craft House.
When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address, telephone number and email address from The British Craft House in order to process your order. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order or to deal with any queries you have related to that order
The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your The British Craft House order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
• With The British Craft House to comply with my obligations.
• With mail delivery companies or couriers in order to fulfill your order.

I will only retain your details for as long as necessary and in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time, I will delete your data from my records.
You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.
