Hello, I am Lucinda from Lucinda’s art, embroidery artist from South Wales.
I create hand embroidered framed pictures, hoops and mini hoop pendants, brooches and keyrings.
The majority of my work is inspired by the Pembrokeshire coastline. I spent most of the school summer holiday’s In Dale and visiting the local beaches and these memories of coastal life have stayed with me for all those years later! I particularly find the rock formations fascinating and love the way you can distinguish a beach by them.
I patchwork fabric together and choose the colours to represent the backgrounds of my work. More recently I have been experimenting with a watercolour wash as the background and then embroider the details on top. This has satisfied my love of painting and my love of embroidery.
