Welcome to my shop.
I’m Sue Keeper, creator of Beach Street Art – home of quirky mixed media framed art made from the little pieces of flotsam and jetsam I take home from the beach in my pocket. I’m based in a village on the South coast of Cornwall.
My inspiration comes from the beautiful Cornish beaches I walk and the shapes of the pieces I pick up – forged by nature in a gritty collaboration between the relentless surf and ever shifting sands.
Sea glass is my favourite; curiously tactile, slightly mysterious and with a hidden history all of its own. To some it’s just rubbish carelessly discarded into the sea but to me each tiny ocean smoothed nugget of glass is a precious gem just waiting to begin its new life in my art, alongside pieces of weather worn pottery, stone and driftwood.
