Take the view of the sea everywhere you go with this super cute hand embroidered brooch.
It measures 4cm in diameter and is set in a wooden mini embroidery hoop with a brooch pin on the back.
I have hand embroidered the view as if you were sitting on the beach looking out to sea. The main stitches I used are satin stitch, short and long stitch. Using single strand embroidery thread which is variegated in colour to help create the blend of colours. This is described a the technique of painting with thread. I enjoy using this technique as it supports my love of painting as well as embroidery. If you look closely I have used a blue glitter thread to depict the shine of the sun on the water.
I can send this directly to the recipient in a gift box with a card and your message.
