A stunning Festive Kumihimo necklace that includes some beautiful Austrian crystals to create a unique focal section to a Japanese braided necklace. It has been braided using the 7 Strand ‘Fill the Gap’ structure.
The necklace is 18.5” (47cm) excluding clasp with a focal of section of 4” (10cm). It has been finished using a TierraCast® Bright rhodium plated artisan clasp.

I have made this necklace using the ancient method of Japanese braiding called Kumihimo which translates as “gathered threads”. Dating from around 550 AD, Kumihimo was used to make the cords for lacing the Samurai warriors and their horses armour by interlacing strands. Today these same methods are being used with the addition of beads to create uniquely striking jewellery.
It will be posted gift wrapped in an Organza Bag.

I package everything very carefully, but should your order arrive damaged then please contact me straight away with photos of the damage.
