To quickly introduce myself, I’m Elaine a glass half full kind of girl with a fondness for a highland cow (hence my business name!).
Everything is made by hand, by me at my home studio in Edinburgh, I work predominantly in fine and sterling silver with the odd gemstone and bit of gold thrown in here and there to make beautiful pieces of jewellery which are suitable for any occasion. More recently I’ve started dabbling in wooden jewellery and you will be able to view my ever growing collection of hand painted wooden earrings in my shop.
A quick note on hallmarking….in accordance with UK law, all silver items weighing 7.78g or above (or 1g if the piece includes gold) will be hallmarked by The Edinburgh Assay Office. Items under these weights are not required to be hallmarked by law however any description will clearly detail the composition of metals used.
I’m registered with the Assay office of Edinburgh and you can access their dealers notice here.
