Hi, I’m Diane, (aka The Crafty Wee Owl) and welcome to my store. I have always enjoyed being creative, from drawing/painting, calligraphy, card making, to sewing, flower pressing, origami and everything in between! To quote Brene Brown, “Creativity is the way I share my soul with the world” Nature, particularly the sea, is my inspiration and I like nothing better than feeling the sand beneath my feet and combing the beach for shells, sea glass, pottery and driftwood. I am very fortunate to have the coast on my doorstep, living very close to Portobello, Edinburgh’s seaside. It will come as no surprise then, that shells are a big feature of my crafting, in this case scallop and oyster shells. They are perfect for making trinket dishes.
Sustainability, is important to me, so I often use vintage, repurposed or broken jewellery, buttons and gems to embellish my shells. All items will come in eco friendly/recyclable packaging.
