I’ve been making things and sewing all my life. My Mum taught to sew and I’ve been creating ever since!
I love nature and spend a lot of time just being in the countryside walking my dogs, camping and hiking. This also connects my store name which came from the lovely chirpy Blackbirds in our garden.
I love fabric especially Harris Tweed, Liberty fabrics and any that catch my eye which is very often, I have quite a stash and a headful of ideas that I don’t always have time to do!
I started my little business in 2014 when I took redundancy from my job. My daughter was getting married and we wanted something different for the confetti so I made some cones and painted & crafted a bucket and voila my little venture had begun……….
It continues to be something I am passionate about, I love making for and interacting with my customers and its feels special to make something unique for a special day, gift or just for you.
