Welcome to my little shop Sticks and Things by Helen.
why did I choose the name? It started in lockdown I started making decorative garden stakes with glass and reclaimed up cycled wood. So sticks by Helen but because I love to make with wood and create wood art, Sticks and things seemed to cover everything.
My very supportive hubby helps with cutting and sanding when needed and my little studio is in the back of our garage, I have another little helper called Mr Vincent Back Shadow who is our rescue cat and he rules the house and work in the studio stops when he’s feeling ignored.
I love to create, its my meditation, creating helps me to de stress and switch off from the world.
I love to use acrylic paint and lots of different wood shapes but I do have a penchant for Hares as you can probably tell from items in my shop, I just love the mysticism and spirituality that surrounds the Hare and Im lucky to live in a semi rural location and we get to see a lot of wildlife.
