Hi I am Jane the designer at OR currently based on the east coast.
My journey began when I needed time for myself from being a full time carer and crafting allowed me to relax and have fun and meet new friends at the Jewellers Academy.
I use texture to give depth to my pieces, some are simply hand carved so that you feel the design. I’ve always loved to seek and find something different in life, whether it be jewellery, music or a wander around historical buildings and so my pieces are less conventional if not an eclectic mix and made very much in the moment. I tend to make to order but I’m working towards having pieces ready to send soon and will be adding copper along with sandcast pieces.
I work with silver clay and argentium . Argentium silver is a great alternative to standard sterling if you have a reaction. Design wise I only make around 5 of each design. I hold a diploma in silver metal clay from The Jewellers Academy and a member of the Association of Contemporary jewellers and AMCAW.
Art clay is particles of recycled fine silver with an organic binder and water and can be hallmarked as either fine (999) or sterling silver (925) after being fired in a kiln. All parts are reused even after sanding, I brush the fine clay dust into a pot add a few drops of water and make paste.
Our chains are argentium which contains a higher content of silver than the standard 925 and standard 18” length. Packaging is unbranded so can be repurposed. I am more than happy to gift wrap, or add that seasonal touch for Christmas just send a message with your order. If you love a piece and want it set it aside for you for seven days then contact me.
Shipping note: We only ship to Mainland UK, the Scottish Islands, the Isle of Man.
I am pleased to announce that I now have my own makers mark, registered at the Edinburgh Assay Office which will appear on any item hallmarked.
