I am Jane a silver n glass designer based on the East Coast. Primarily I work with fine and sterling Silver, gold leaf and fused glass of which the cutting and designing of the glass cabochons have been done by myself Jane.
What influences my designs are the imperfections in life, our surroundings have such a patchwork of colour and life, and memories of those who lived before us, history and the future combined. I may not polish each mark out and that is the sign of handmade, perfect imperfection. I create only a few of each design which are and will be all different, this will be a sign of new skills gained and also that aha give it a try moment!
Art clay is particles of fine silver with a organic binder and water and can be hallmarked as either fine (999) or sterling silver (925) after being fired in a kiln. Our chains are argentium which contains a higher content of silver than the standard 925
