Original Handmade Demi-Fine Jewellery

Reconnecting You To Nature ~ Wild, Beautiful, Mysterious And Magical

Hello, I’m Emma, an intuitive artist and maker living in rural Cornwall. Since childhood, I’ve felt a deep connection to the ocean and other wild, untamed places. These landscapes have always been my sanctuary and source of inspiration.

My original, demi-fine handmade jewellery is an exploration of the mood, magic and mystery of nature. Each piece I create celebrates the drama, atmosphere and subtle beauty of natural phenomena.

I’m drawn to the earthy tones of lichen; the cool damp scent of woodland after rain; twists of seaweed washed ashore like mermaid tresses; the delicate lines carved into a shell and lush; dense velvety mosses that dress Cornish hedges and carpet forest floors.

These capture my imagination and inspire the ideas that shape my designs.

I began making jewellery about 4 years ago, after a difficult time with my health. I was encouraged to explore my lapsed creative side as part of my recovery and it only took one short ring making class to begin my journey with designing and making my own jewellery. I soon realised that creativity is vital to my wellbeing and like many artists, I experience it as a form of moving meditation and like nature, it helps me to stay balanced and centred.

I took a break between Sep 2023 and Nov 24 and I’m now pleased to relaunch my store with The British Craft House.

Over the past four years, I have honed a diverse array of skills, employing various techniques in my jewellery-making process. These include hand fabricating from precious metal sheet and wire, intricate pierce sawing, wax carving, delft clay casting, chasing and repousse, lost wax casting, Keum Boo, stone setting, and texturing.

My designs are a blend of timeless elegance and modern craftsmanship, enriched by the use of ancient techniques. Each piece is thoughtfully handmade with care and intention, resulting in beautiful, meaningful jewellery that stands the test of time.

I balance making jewellery with my full time job as a project manager in healthcare; and when I’m not making, or at work, I’m outside exploring or you’ll find me snuggled at home with Pepe (he’s a gorgeous and somewhat demanding lilac British Shorthair).

Please enjoy looking around my shop and please contact me if you have any questions emma@myjewellerygarden.com
