Hi, I’m Elspeth – welcome to my shop MaisieMTrees!
My parents inspired the idea behind my business, as I couldn’t find a family tree cake topper I wanted for my Mum & Dad’s Golden Wedding cake (my Dad’s career was as an archivist).
In 2019 I wanted to replicate the same type of cake topper for my in-laws, and thought I’d give it a go… This began my love of working with wire & crystals to make beautiful trees as cake toppers and keepsakes.
Setting up my business in 2020 was a huge turning point for me, and one I’m incredibly proud of.
Each tree is made-to-order and personalised to capture a couple or family, and I love the thought that it can be added to over the years with additional charms – a beautiful family keepsake.
The glass bauble trees were inspired by a friend who asked if I’d thought of making “something for Christmas”! The bauble trees have been hugely popular, and I love that each one is different in the choices of crystals customer’s choose.
I am very fortunate to live surrounded by the natural beauty of Dumfries and Galloway, where I live with my husband and two children.
