Hello, my name is Sue and I live with my partner Jerry near to Hampton Court Palace, where we are incredibly lucky to have access to the Royal Palace, the Thames and our local park, Bushy Park. I am a retired nurse and midwife – a truly fulfilling job which I adored for 46 years.
I was taught to sew by my London Nana, a gifted seamstress and tailor and have always found solace in crafting of one sort or another. I started sewing with a very old but very beautiful Singer treadle machine as a teenager in the ‘60s producing a teeny tiny, lime-green mini skirt. Then as a young mother, I made almost all my children’s clothes except their coats and underwear!
Life, raising my children & illness then took over, but since retiring, I now have time to indulge in reviving that love of sewing, first by supplying dozens & dozens & dozens of masks to family and friends during Covid and more recently with combining it with my passion for crafting in making bags of all kinds for myself, friends and family.
