Hi! I’m Emma, and I’m the creator behind DewCatDesigns. I embroider unique and beautiful hand-beaded treasures in my home near the south coast in Hampshire.
I’ve always been crafty, and was once a seasoned cross-stitcher. But a chance encounter with seed beads many years ago set me on the path of bead embroidery, and I’ve been honing my skills and developing my style ever since. My inner magpie loves the subtle sparkle of tiny, shiny glass seed beads, and I love the order and rhythm of the hand-beading process, meticulously sewing each individual bead in place to create a treasured item.
Each piece generally takes 2-3 hours to create from scratch, so they’re a true labour of love. The more complex pieces can easily take more than 10 hours. And yes, good eyesight, good lighting and lots of patience are essential tools!
From a cheeky bunch-of-grapes earring, to a sleepy fox pendant, to a commissioned hand-beaded pet portrait of your fur-baby, you’re sure to find the perfect gift for you or a loved one.
