Hello! I’m Chris, an artist living in south east Cornwall.
I produce original, affordable art, celebrating the places that are important to me and are perhaps important to you.
I am greatly influenced by my local area in the south west of England, with an increasing curiosity about the bits the tourists don’t always see – the urban, the semi industrial, the residential. I am also intrigued by theatre, cinema, old photographs and vintage postcards. These influences sometimes creep into my work. I mainly produce paintings in watercolour and/or gouache, but also work in monoprint, charcoal, acrylic and mixed media.
I’m pleased that my art has sold throughout Britain and beyond, hopefully providing a memento of a much loved place or experience.
I am always keen to consolidate and expand my practice. I am a member of a local art group and am currently in my final year of a BA (Hons) degree course in Painting, Drawing and Printmaking. I am also engaged in community art projects in my local area.
Paintings are sold unframed unless otherwise stated, to reduce shipping costs and risk of damage in transit. Mount options are offered on standard sized paintings. Unmounted paintings will have added protection of cardboard padding and corner protectors.
All paintings are mailed flat in reinforced envelopes by Royal Mail first class. with tracking on all orders over £2o in value. First class postage is included in price of item. In the interests of sustainability, I will use recycled packaging where appropriate.
