Vendor Biography

Hello, thank you for taking an interest in my store and reading my biography.

My name is Becca and I am the Designer/Maker of everything I sell. Although I hope to eventually focus on selling my Wooden Rocking Doll’s Cots, I cannot resist beautiful and stylish fabrics and yarns which is why you will also see cushions, knitwear and other lovely items in my shop.

I have a real dislike for the disposable, throwaway culture we live in and mass produced items that are often treated as ‘easy come, easy go’ – which could also be read as ‘cheap today, landfill tomorrow’!  Well-made hand-crafted items are of a better quality; admired and cherished, they ultimately have a much longer ‘life’.

My brand name originates from the Latin word ‘Amabilis‘ meaning ‘lovable’ and the derivative ‘Ambel’ was used as a unisex name in Britain in Saxon times.    As for my tagline – well, who doesn’t want to ‘Live A Lovable Life’!
