Vendor Biography

I’ve always been making: clothes and furniture for my dolls when I was a child; knitting clothes for my family; cross stitching, card-making; in 2010 I discovered patchwork quilting. The amazing array of fabrics, patterns and techniques that can be employed in this versatile craft have had me well and truly hooked ever since!

Now I design as well as make and have had the pleasure of teaching patchwork-quilting at the local fabric store where I work part-time.

I particularly enjoy the heritage ‘utility’ origins of patchwork. It’s all about using up all the fabric, no waste, to make attractive items with a practical use.
