This blackwork embroidery chart brings traditional 16th Century Elizabethan blackwork concepts into an up-to-date, fresh, modern design.
This design uses Blackwork embroidery stitches and is stitched on evenweave fabric to allow finer detail created by half stitches.
The chart comes with full instructions, taking you through the stitching basics (using Backstitch or Holbein – double running stitch and Cross Stitch) to help you recreate this pattern.
Design size:
– Stitches – 89 wide x 82 high
– Stitched size shown on 28 count Evenweave fabric 16.5cm (6.5″) x 15.0cm (6.0″) (14 Count Aida fabric not recommended due to small half stitches).
(Extra fabric allowance included for tensioning in hoop/ frame whilst stitching, and for mounting the finished item).
