Hand embroidered Christmas robin hanging decoration.
Nestled amongst holly branches a beautiful robin sits quietly in the snow, with a background of falling snowflakes.
I have created this piece using a background of fabrics that describe the scene. To represent the snowy sky I have chosen a pale blue cotton fabric. I sewed this together with a white fleece to represent the snowy ground. I appliqued some holly leaves on top. I then embroidered the robin on top using the long and short stitch, which is also described as painting with thread. This gives a blended appearance of embroidery thread. For a Christmassy feel I used some glitter thread for the snowflakes falling in the sky.
Perfect addition for your Christmas decorations and a keepsake for many Christmas’s to come. This could become a treasured piece that can be passed down your family and enjoyed for many years to come.

This 8 inch or 20 cm hoop can be hung straight on to the wall by hooking straight on to nail or hook by the screw at the top of the hoop Or by attaching some ribbon or string to the screw at the top of hoop the hang on a nail or hook.
