You can choose to have any scarf handwoven in neck warmer style.  Neck warmer is 35 inches long, but 6 inches wide. Perfect for those that don’t ‘do’ scarves.

This piece takes hand-dyed shades of orange and chestnut, handwoven in bold checks.

I air wool creations frequently, washing on a specialist setting infrequently. Wool has some amazing properties. To read more, see http://www.campaignforwool.org/about-wool/.

The Falkland Islands wool I use is supplied by Wooltops (www.wooltops.co.uk) which is spun at a mill in Devon & West Yorkshire Spinners.  I also use  Alpaca from www.ukalpaca.com.

Postage

British Isles & Eire postage is included in the price. I subsidise overseas postage.

Each piece is gift-wrapped in tissue paper with a care card and a sprig of Lavender (excludes Australia & New Zealand due to customs regulations), making this a perfect gift idea for delivery direct to your special recipient of choice.

Your fibre options

Medium weight (double-knit) wool or alpaca. Breathable warmth from quality wool, the most popular choice.

Lightweight (4-ply) wool, available with or without mulberry silk blended with it.

Very lightweight (2-ply) laceweight wool. Ideal for very warm weather climates. It takes the longest time to weave, but worth the results.  Woven using the smallest reed I have for the looms, it gives a smaller design and finer detail.

4-ply & especially 2-ply take a longer time to weave.  When woven it gives a smaller design and finer detail of pattern.

Sizes

Each scarf is approximately 60 by 10 inches (152 x 25 centimetres).

Each neckwear scarf is approximately 35 by 6 inches (89 x 15 centimetres).

Sizes do vary slightly depending on the yarn used, it’s not an exact science when you’re making by hand.

Colours & designs

I use non-toxic dyes for my work, blending to get the colours I need.  I hand-dye in small batches. It’s a unique process & so there are varying shades in the results.

Changes in colours & some designs carry no extra charge, but I don’t do hard sell, so feel free to ask.

I use looms of designs unchanged in centuries, but I can achieve some striking patterns and designs.
