Viking style letter opener. Spiral letter opener. Bolt etter opener.
I hand forge these letter openers in my very traditional blacksmith’s workshop in Earlswood, Warwickrshire.
They are styled on a Viking Lady’s knife…..these were carried by women in Viking times for tasks such as skinning rabbits and preparing food.
After I have heated the steel in the forge I shape the letter opener on my anvil and then clean it up with a wire brush and coat it in beeswax to protect it..just as it has been done for centuries.
They are approximately 15cm in length.
I have sold many of these to re enactors, they are also bought as gifts for 6th and 11th wedding anniversaries and wedding presents.

The one with the curved blade is styled on a Viking Lady’s knife…..these were carried by women in Viking times for tasks such as skinning rabbits and preparing food.
The spiral letter opener has a straighter blade and is longer.
The bolt letter opener is an old coacbolt that I have forged and changed. I’ve wrapped copper wire around the shaft to add a contrast to the steel.
All 3 letter openers are coated in beeswax which gives them a beautiful finish and protects them..

If I've got the item in stock I should be able to post it within a working week of your order being placed.
If I have to make the item then I should be able to ship it within 2 - 4 weeks.

Refund Policy
If you change your mind and would like to return your order, please contact me within 14 days of receipt for return address. Your order must be returned to me within 30 days and with a tracking method at your cost. Personalised and custom made items are not elligible for a refund.
