This is a pair of glass flameworked beads handmade by me, and turned into earrings. Gorgeous transparent pale blue glass has been decorated with an organic ‘surf’ line, before being twisted into a wave shape. Design is double sided. After being carefully kiln annealed for strength and durability, the beads have been gently tumbled to leave a soft, matte finish, very reminiscent of sea glass.
The 17mm beads have been set simply with sterling silver beads, sterling silver headpins and and sterling silver shepherd’s crook ear wires.

These glass beads have been individually handmade by me in the flame using a traditional technique known as ‘lampwork’ or ‘flamework’. Here I have combined transparent palest blue glass with an organic ‘surf’ line, which I have then twisted to make a wave pattern. The design appears on both sides of each bead. The beads have been kiln annelaed for strength and durability, before being gently tumbled to reveal a soft, matte finish very reminiscent of sea glass.
The beads measure 17mm in diameter and approximately 9mm in thickness, resulting in a pair of earrings that makes an impact without being too heavy. The beads were handmade by me in my Pembrokeshire studio, and have been carefully checked for quality.
Supplied in a branded gift box which contains 76% recycled materials, and which is then recyclable should you choose.
