This is a stunning Black and Grey Kumihimo braided necklace that uses reverse spirals to create a fabulous effect through out the braid.
It has been matched with a co-ordinating Fused Glass Pendant made by James Barker of Ye Green Men and finished with a TierraCast® Toggle Clasp
The necklace is 20.5” (52cm) long with a 1.2”(3cm) long pendant.

I have made this necklace using the ancient method of Japanese braiding called Kumihimo which translates as “gathered threads”. Dating from around 550 AD, Kumihimo was used to make the cords for lacing the Samurai warriors and their horses armour by interlacing strands. Today these same methods are being used with the addition of beads to create uniquely striking jewellery.
It will be posted gift wrapped in an Organza Bag.
