A very peaceful scene is depicted from a hand embroidered boat sailing along through tranquil waters. The beautiful reflection emanates from the still waters. I have embroidered the sailing boat on a watercolour wash, which I think helps to create the very atmospheric and peaceful mood. This would be perfect to create a calming space in your home.
The total size including the free standing frame is 23 x28 cm. It can be hung on the wall or left free standing.

I have painted a blue watercolour wash on plain canvas material, which gives the piece a very peaceful feeling. I then embroidered the sailing boat on top. I have paid particular attention to the reflection as I think this detail really adds to the calming feeling of this piece.
I have only used one type of stitch, which is described as painting with thread or the long and short stitch. I particularly like this as I can create a blending of the coloured thread, to show shading and a more comprehensive approach to a realistic impression.
I have stretched the final piece over some foam board which can be easily removed from the frame if you choose to use another frame. There is a single mount on top of the embroidery and the image size is 14 x 20 cm. The total size of the embroidery stretched over the foam board is 21.5 x 26.5 cm.
I will send this wrapped in bubble wrap as there is glass in the frame. It will be packaged very securely in a box and postal bag. I use Royal mail 1st class delivery service.
