This blackwork embroidery chart brings traditional 16th Century Elizabethan blackwork concepts into an up-to-date, fresh, modern design.
NOTE: This kit is for the black and gold version (see photo). The pink version (see photo) is a stitched alternative example.
This design could easily also be stitched in colour choices to suit your own taste or occasion.
The kit comes with full instructions, materials (listed below) and a free ‘Beginner Instruction Stitching Guide’ – taking you through the stitching basics (using backstitch or Holbein – double running stitch) to help you recreate this pattern.
Design size:
Stitches – 28 wide x 27 high
Stitched size 5.0cm (2.0″) x 5.0cm (2.0″) – 14 count Aida (28 count Evenweave fabric could also be used).
(Extra fabric allowance included for tensioning in hoop/ frame whilst stitching, and for mounting the finished item).
