Handcrafted Fine Silver and Mint-Green Sea Glass Mint Leaf Necklace

A delicate, totally unique and handcrafted silver leaf necklace featuring a solid fine silver mint leaf and mint-green sea glass wrapped in fine silver wire, hung together on an 18 inch sterling silver trace chain. The leaf was created by painting layers of silver clay paste onto a real mint leaf picked from my Hampshire herb garden, which when fired left an exact replica of the original, in fine silver. The leaf was hand finished and polished and paired with a small piece of bright mint green sea glass, found by me in the shingle on the beach at Barton-on-Sea in Hampshire, and which I wrapped in fine silver wire. The leaf pendant and sea glass hang from a sterling silver chain.
Details: The fine silver leaf measures 3.7mm from top to tip, and 1.2cm at its’ widest point. It’s approx. 1mm thick. The mint green sea-glass measures approx. 1cm x 0.4cm x 0.4cm. Sterling silver chain measures 45cm including traditional bolt ring clasp.
No two pieces of sea glass are alike, and no two leaves are exactly the same, so this would be a truly original and unique christmas, birthday or special occasion gift.
The necklace will arrive wrapped in pale green tissue paper fastened with linen thread, and in a kraft pillow-box. A little handwritten note explaining a bit about the piece is also included. Additional gift wrap options are available, see below.

A handmade, original, delicate necklace featuring a fine silver (99.9% silver) mint leaf paired with a fine silver wire-wrapped bright mint green sea glass piece hung on a sterling silver chain. Mint is a common herb (I love it with a Mojito!) with great flavour and medicinal properties. The deeply veined leaves are fantastic for using with silver clay paste.
The mint leaf was picked from my garden in Hampshire and layer-painted with silver-clay paste. The small but perfectly formed bright ‘mint’ green sea glass wrapped in fine silver wire makes a lovely accompaniment to the leaf. This special piece of sea glass was found on the beach at Barton-On-Sea in Hampshire. So a truly unique piece with it’s origins in the county in which it was made.
A beautiful blending of land and sea, and a great gift for you or a nature lover in your life!

All my items will arrive wrapped in pale green recycled tissue paper fastened with linen thread, and in a recycled kraft pillow-box. A little handwritten note explaining a bit about the piece is also included. Additional gift wrap options are available.
The pillow box is sent in a recycled cardboard box filled with eco-friendly, responsibly sourced UK wood wool.

Previous commissions have included turning a customer’s own sea-glass into a necklace, handcrafting a Bramble flower for a 21st birthday, recreating a dangly Catkin for a favourite sister or some coffee bean earrings for a Barista. It’s also worth knowing that commissions don’t necessarily cost more than items in the shop – it depends what you have in mind – so it’s always worth a no-strings chat.

Items will be processed and despatched within 3 working days and shipped by Royal Mail Tracked 24 as standard. Shipping is not included in the price of purchases unless stated otherwise. I am happy to upgrade to special delivery at the appropriate additional cost.
I aim to minimise the amount of packaging I use when sending items to reduce waste, whilst also seeking to present the everyday treasures beautifully, and to treat the jewellery as the delicate and beautiful treasure it is, ensuring its safe passage through the British postal system!
All materials used for gift wrapping and packing are made from recycled and/or recyclable materials, which are sustainably sourced and British made where possible!
Sounds obvious, but please carefully check that the details of the mailing address you have given are correct before confirming your order, especially if it is a gift and is being sent to an address that is different from the billing address.
If you need an order by a specific date/on a shorter timescale, then please let me know and I’ll do my very best to accommodate you!

All of my pieces are handmade with a lot of love and I take great pride in everything I make, and in seeing a smile on your face! I am a strong believer in hand-made meaning quality and also that because each piece is individually made by hand there sometimes may be irregularities on the surface reflecting the organic nature of the materials I work with , which creates truly one of a kind pieces.
I also know that occasionally things might go awry, and if you find that you have a problem with your item please contact me straight away so we can discuss how best to resolve the situation.
