A necklace for nature lovers featuring a solid fine silver (99.9% silver) Hawthorn leaf paired with a piece of pale green sea glass wrapped in fine silver wire, hung from a sterling silver chain.
Hawthorn is one of the first plants in our native hedgerows to come to life in the Spring, firstly the leaves, followed by the gorgeous white Hawthorn blossom. This particular leaf was picked in the summer last year from the hedgerows near me in Twyford near Winchester and was layer painted with silver-clay paste, which once dry was fired (along with the leaf) to leave behind a wonderfully light weight and fine silver replica of the original leaf.
Symbolic of the lush green of the hawthorn leaves, the pale green sea-glass is a lovely accompaniment. This piece of sea-glass was found on one of my trips to Seaham in County Durham. It is wrapped in fine silver wire.
Dimensions
Hawthorn leaf measures approx. 2.3cm long and 1.5cm wide at its widest point.
Sea glass measures approx. 1 x 0.5cm
Sterling silver chain is 45cm in length including clasp.

Items will be processed and despatched within 3 working days and shipped by Royal Mail Tracked 24 as standard. Shipping is included in the price of all purchases unless stated or agreed otherwise, e.g. if you request to upgrade to special delivery.
I aim to minimise the amount of packaging I use when sending items to reduce waste, whilst also seeking to present the everyday treasures beautifully, and to treat the jewellery as the delicate and beautiful treasure it is, ensuring its safe passage through the British postal system!
All materials used for gift wrapping and packing are made from recycled and/or recyclable materials, which are sustainably sourced and British made where possible!
