Deep Sleeps The Winter – Inspired by the poem ‘The Snowdrop Fairy’ by Cicely Mary Barker. The first snowdrops always bring a hopeful sign in the deep midwinter that Spring will be on its way soon.

This blackwork embroidery chart brings traditional 16th Century Elizabethan blackwork concepts into an up-to-date, fresh, modern design.
This design could easily also be stitched in colour choices to suit your own taste or occasion.
The kit comes with full instructions, materials (listed below) and a free ‘Beginner Instruction Stitching Guide’ – taking you through the stitching basics (using backstitch or Holbein – double running stitch) to help you recreate this pattern.
Design size:
Stitches – 46 wide x 46 high
Stitched size 8.0cm (3.2″) x 8.0cm (3.2″) – suggest stitching on 28 count Evenweave, rather than 14 count Aida due to small half stitches.
(Extra fabric allowance included for tensioning in hoop/ frame whilst stitching, and for mounting the finished item).
