A little about me & how I came to become so passionate & so in love with Macrame and the Art of knotting
Back in 2021 I attended a Vegan Market in Horsham (my home town) & there was a wood turning stall, he had 2 of his beautiful bowls hanging from a macrame hanger either side of his gazebo. I saw the intricate knots of the hanger & immediately wanted to touch & feel them. That was it! Literally a spark lit up inside me, a light shone & I knew I wanted to learn how to create those knots!
I got home, went on Amazon (yes I know not great), bought some string & after much cutting, measuring, knotting, unknotting, tangling & dangling I created a wallhanging! There she is in all her glory hanging in my bedroom. I am so proud of her, even though now 2 years on I see all the little mistakes, the uneveness, the missing knots I could have done, but she’s my 1st creation & I absolutely Love her
I was completely & utterly hooked & just haven’t stopped feeling that passion, I have never felt so sure about anything this much in my life, this is what I must do, every day, my Meditation, my Grounding, my Light, my Love of creating something, this is why I love to do workshops, I want you to feel how I feel when knotting, Calm, Peaceful, Mindful, Still
