Handcrafted Fine Silver and Sea Glass Sage Leaf Drop Earrings

£75.00

One of a kind, unique earrings consisting of fine silver dangly sage leaves handcrafted from original leaves using silver clay paste. Each earring was made from a different individual sage leaf picked from my garden in the Hampshire South Downs onto which I layer-painted silver clay paste, which when fired left a solid fine silver replica of the original leaves.  I have added a small piece of tinted white sea glass (hand picked by me from Seaham Beach in County Durham) which I hand-wrapped in fine silver wire. The earrings hang from sterling silver hooks.

Details

  • Each sage leaf measures approx. 3cm in length, and 1.3-1.5cm wide.
  • Sea glass pieces approx. 0.5 x 0.5
  • Sage leaves are made from 999 Fine silver (99.9% silver)
  • Total earring drop approx. 5cm from top of hook to leaf tip
  • Hook and rings made from solid sterling silver

The necklace will arrive wrapped in pale green tissue paper fastened with linen thread, and in a kraft pillow-box.  A little handwritten note explaining a bit about the piece is also included. Additional gift wrap options are available, see below.

This is the only pair I have made, and with each leaf, and each piece of sea glass being unique in their own right, these are truly one of a kind – so even if I do make more, they will never be the same as these.

The package will be shipped in 1-3 days and sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 which is included.

A one-off pair of light as a feather fine-silver, large sage-leaf drop earrings that are each paired with a piece of white sea-glass wrapped in fine silver wire.  Sage is a classic herb, and these are classic earrings that will go with pretty much everything.

These earrings were made using painted layers of precious metal silver clay paste on real sage leaves collected from my herb garden in Hampshire – each earring was created from a different leaf of a similar size and shape, taken from the same plant.  Once the painted layers were thick enough, and dried, the leaves were fired, leaving two solid fine silver leaf replicas of the originals! Magic!

The sea glass is from one of my trips to see my family in the North East and comes from Seaham, in County Durham.

The hand polished fine silver leaves and sea glass are hung from solid sterling silver hooks and findings.

COMMISSIONS:  You may also like to know that I love taking special requests and commissions – perhaps to celebrate a special birthday or event, or maybe just to turn a favourite ‘something’ you have collected into a piece of jewellery you can wear.   So if you’d like to talk about creating something truly unique and bespoke for you or someone in your life please do get in touch, I’d love to help. Previous commissions have included turning a customer’s own sea-glass into a necklace, handcrafting a Bramble flower for a 21st birthday, recreating a dangly Catkin for a favourite sister or some coffee bean earrings for a Barista.   It’s also worth knowing that commissions don’t necessarily cost more than items in the shop – it depends what you have in mind – so it’s always worth a no-strings chat.

Returns and Refunds

All of my pieces are handmade with a lot of love and I take great pride in everything I make, and in seeing a smile on your face! I am a strong believer in hand-made meaning quality and also that because each piece is individually made by hand there sometimes may be irregularities on the surface reflecting the organic nature of the materials I work with , which creates truly one of a kind pieces.

I also know that occasionally things might go awry, and if you find that you have a problem with your item please contact me straight away so we can discuss how best to resolve the situation.
