Hello and welcome to the Chrysalis Art to Wear shop. I am Chrissie Menzies and am a Textile Artist working in traditional wet felting techniques, eco printing along with hand and machine embroidery.

My Studio is on our small farm in the hills of Montgomeryshire,Wales. Colour & texture from my garden are my main inspirations and I work intuitively rather than planning projects, my pieces evolve and may change in the making.

I am a member of the Shropshire Guild of Contemporary Crafts & attend selling & exhibition events with them. I also belong to a felting group in NorthWales, the International Felters’ Association,  Mid Wales Textile Artists and Wye Severn textile group.

I also run occasional workshops in felting at the Minerva Centre in Llanidloies, and tutor workshops for Guilds, galleries & groups.

I produce accessories and homeware including eco printed lampshades & cushions.
