Every single item I make is stamped by hand, so every single letter and embellishment is hammered onto the metal individually.
Due to the very nature of this craft process each piece may vary very slightly to another, creating a unique finish. Letters may not be perfectly aligned or stamped with exactly the same depth as each other. The blanks are filed, stamped, polished and colour-finished all by hand and not by a machine. Due to the nature of hand-stamping some metal displacement can be visible at times on the reverse side of the item where the force of the hammer has ‘moved’ the metal to make the indentation and left a pressure mark. This is normal and to be expected, though it in no way detracts from the beauty of the piece.
