Welcome to Article Jewellery.

I can thank my grandmother for sparking my lifelong love of craft and design after she gave me my first sewing machine at the age of six. This was the start of an incredible journey of creative discovery having tried my hand at everything from knitting to furniture painting to lampshade making, and much, much more.

Jewellery design has been my main focus since attending a beading class a few years ago. I am a magpie and have a collection of jewellery bought from all over the world. Since learning how to make it I can appreciate the amount of time and effort that went into every handmade piece I own, and how there are some skills I will simply never achieve!

My jewellery brand is largely inspired by the combination of geometric shapes, fine detail and organic textures you can create with silver clay, but I also love to bead sew using Swarovski elements and seed beads. You’ll see a collection of leather bracelets, and I have just bought a glass kiln…so I basically love jewellery and exploring lots of different styles and techniques.

After 25 years as a retail buyer, I recently moved to Falmouth in Cornwall to focus on developing an arts and crafts business. I am deeply passionate about the resurgence of the high street being dependent on individuality, experience and community. Through my new business, “Inspire Makers”, I showcase local makers work, and run a programme of workshops across a number of crafts to encourage people to explore their own creativity, as well as making and selling my own work.
