The bird shapes are made by shaping copper coloured wire by hand to make the outline (frame) to which I then add other colours of wire in random patterns.  The birds are finished off with a glass crystal bead for the eye.  The finished piece has been mounted on a wooden cube.

The larger bird is filled with red and green coloured ‘feathers’, the smaller bird is in brown and copper.

I love the shape of these birds and whilst these are popular, you can be sure that your bird will be unique as wire doesn’t twist the same way twice!!

Materials – coloured copper wire, driftwood and a glass crystal beads.

Measurements:  approx 12.5cm height in total, the cube is approx 4x4x4cm

NOTE: Whilst I take every care to ensure all wire ends are tucked in, there may be sharp/pointy edges so please take care and keep away from children.  The bird is made of wire and therefore could bend out of shape if not handled with care.
