West Country Cob Cottage. Miniature House, lights up

In the heart of the Devon countryside you’ll often find tiny cottages. Made of cob they date back hundreds of years. My own home, Penny Pot Cottage, is the inspiration behind the one featured here.

Entirely hand built, the structure is a mix of paper mache (papier machè if you’re old school like me!), my own recipe of paper pulp, paper clay, then painted and sealed.  Decorated with paper clay flowers and moss which trails the walls.  A tub of flowers sits on the door step next to the welcoming mat which reads ‘HOME”.  The windows on each side allow the glow of the fairy lights (included) to really illuminate the cottage. The structure is hollow, and houses the fairy lights, although they are not fixed in place so you can replace batteries, add another set or replace for coloured lights.

The Cottage measures 25cm L x 20cm W x 20cm H.

This is an ornament designed to bring intrigue and joy to to the observer.   It will look fantastic sitting on a shelf or sideboard, or would make a beautiful gift for someone special.

Safety Notices: this not a toy. Please keep away from young children or pets.  Materials used include paints, sealants, varnishes, small parts.

Indoor use only, please keep away from water, naked flames and direct heat or sunlight.

Uk Mainland: Your item will be DISPATCHED within 7-10 business days from receipt of order/payment. The time it takes during shipping may vary depending on the courier.

Your order will be sent via First Class post to the address you (as the Buyer) provides.
Once the item is dispatched and proof of dispatch has been forwarded I am no longer responsible for the item's arrival. I will of course endeavour to provide any help necessary should the Buyer encounter issues with receiving the item.

Your order will be packaged appropriately to ensure it's safe arrival, therefore you may receive excess recycled bubble wrap/paper or cardboard. I aim to make sure all my orders are well protected during transit so you receive them in the same excellent condition they leave.

I accept returns.

Buyer must contact me within 7 working days of receiving the item, and must send the item back within 14 days of delivery.

If your package arrives damaged ...

If the packaging of your order is obviously damaged in the post please take clear photos of the parcel before opening. Once opened please take photos of any subsequent damage caused to your order. This information helps when filing a claim.
If you believe your item to be faulty please contact me with your concerns and attach clear photographs highlighting the fault. .
In the event you are not satisfied, please contact me by email at [email protected] within 7 days of delivery.
If your item needs to be returned the postal cost will also be refunded for damaged or faulty items. As this will be an additional amount beyond your original order the refund for your return postage costs will be processed via bank transfer, I will contact you for bank details. Please retain postal receipt and proof of postage.
Commissioned pieces are not eligible for refunds unless damaged or faulty.
