Blacksmith Experience Day Voucher for 1 person.

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at blacksmithing?

Come and spend a day with me in my forge in Soilhull, Warwickshire and I will guide you through the process. We will begin the day with a short safety talk and then the fun begins! You will heat the metal in the traditional forge and shape it with a hammer on the anvil. When the piece is complete you will clean the scale off it and coat it with beeswax to protect it. Whatever you make during your day with me is yours to keep and treasure.

If you would like to share your day with a friend vouchers are available for 2 people.  The course will be just for you, or you and a friend – I don’t run courses for groups.

Ages 14 + are welcome, however, for people aged 14 – 18 they must be accompanied by a paying adult.

My forge is conveniently located, just south of Birmingham, only 10 minutes from junction 3 of the M42.

Once you have made your purchase you just need to contact me so that I can personalise the voucher for you with who the voucher is for, who it’s from and when it will be given. Once I have this information I will email you your voucher.The voucher is valid for 6 months from the day it’s given, the course doesn’t have to take place within the 6 months but you must contact me to make the booking within 6 months of it being given.

From a starting point of zero experience, Chris’ blend of experience, patience and clear teaching technique helped my to create the ubiquitous key ring and an elegant ‘Game of Thrones’ styled letter opener. You don’t need to be a bear-sized medeival smith either – effort is akin to hammering nails into a wooden board rather than weilding something Thor would struggle to loft.
