Vintage Salcombe sea chart coastal faux suede cushion by Hannah Wisdom Textiles

Gorgeously soft faux suede cushion printed with a vintage sea chart from 1863, showing Salcombe.

These are printed from actual charts rather than a source library copy. My carefully sourced collection of authentic vintage charts carry fabulous marks and blemishes hinting of their previous life and age.

I prepare the charts for scanning by a lengthy process of gently cleaning where necessary and flattening. If the scanned image has any very unsightly marks or damage I work closely with my fine art printers to digitally repair the image using a light and sensitive touch, to make sure that the authenticity of their age is retained.

I set the image up for printing by selecting and resizing as necessary. My cushion fabrics are printed in the uk, and very proudly hand sewn.

Hidden zip closure and plain charcoal faux suede backing. Cushion insert included.
Cushion measures approx 42cm square, and the cover is washable at 30 degrees.
