Sweet Yellow Song Birds Gilded XL Scallop Shell Trinket Jewellery Dish

A pair of sweet yellow song birds perched on a cherry blossom tree against a clear blue sky feature on this decoupaged scallop shell trinket dish.This beautifully decorated dish is suitable for jewellery or other trinkets and would make a lovely, thoughtful unique gift, or a treat for yourself! The trinket dish is also suitable as a bonbon/candy/nibble dish.

This vintage style dish with its bright colours and subtle oriental accent will brighten up any home and provide a decorative and useful decor accord in your home, whether on a dressing/vanity table, bedside cabinet, desk or coffee table.

All items are handmade, generally to order. Each scallop shell has been cleaned and the design added using a decoupage technique before the edges and back of the shell has been gilded in a rich shade of gold paint. Finally the shell is given many coats of varnish to add shine and depth as well as protection. The high gloss finish gives the impression of porcelain. XL scallop shells measure 12 – 13 cm width at their widest point.

The scallop shell arrives packaged in a Kraft gift box in a nest of shredded paper. As these shells are a natural product and are restyled/upcycled, not mass produced, there can be variation in the size, shape and placement of design. This makes each trinket dish truly unique!

To care for your shells it is recommended to clean them using a soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or place in areas of high humidity or damp. The scallop shell is intended to use as a trinket/nibbles dish or ornament, not for serving hot food or burning candles/melts/tea lights etc. Do not heat in the oven or microwave. If using as a bonbon/candy dish wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry gently with a dry cloth after use. Take care not to scratch furniture.

Standard shipping is £3.99 for mainland UK using Royal Mail Second Class signed or Evri standard delivery. First Class Royal Mail signed for is £6.99. A tracking number will be provided. However, if you would prefer faster shipping, live off the UK mainland, or would like to request another courier service, please contact us for a delivery quote.
Delivery to Europe zones 1 and 2 is £12.99 using Royal Mail second class or Evri standard. Please note that in some European countries your parcel may be dropped off at a local parcel shop depending on the courier policy.
Delivery to USA is priced at £24.99 using Royal Mail or Evri standard. If you would like to upgrade postage or use a different courier, please send a message for a quote.

Refund Policy

If an item arrives damaged a full refund will be given. Please contact us with details and photos of the damaged purchase within 1 week UK and 2 weeks Europe and rest of the world. If an item does not arrive please contact us and we can contact the courier. Please provide any evidence that may help us to track your missing purchase. A refund or replacement will then be offered. Please be aware that in certain countries such as Denmark items may be delivered to your nearest parcel shop. Hygge and Hearth are not responsible for any additional taxes applied to your purchase for items delivered outside of the UK.
