Sterling Silver Hallmarked Amethyst Pear Rune Hallmarked Pendant
£77.50
Rune symbols and a rich purple amethyst feature on this handmade sterling silver hallmarked pendant.
Hand sawn and highly polished, I have hand set this sterling silver pendant with a regal purple pear shaped amethyst in a beautiful crown shaped gallery setting. The pendant is suspended from a smooth snake chain with a secure lobster clasp.
Inspired by the Viking Elder Futhark runic alphabet and the Anglo Saxon interpretations thereof, the symbols are hand sawn.
This necklace is one of my personal favourites. It is such a pleasure to offer you this gorgeous necklace which is unique in so many ways.
The pendant measures 50mm long x 12mm wide and is around 1mm deep. It weighs over 9g of solid sterling silver.
The gemstone is an exquisite amethyst, 12 x 7mm faceted pear shaped step cut.
The snake chain fastens with a classic lobster claw and is 18” long.
This is a special addition to your jewellery collection

This is a really special addition for your jewellery collection.
Inspired by the Viking Elder Futhark runic alphabet and the Anglo Saxon interpretations thereof, the ‘shield’ shaped design is embellished with stylised runic symbols, making this necklace an eloquent gift.
The symbol which is topmost on the pendant is the Anglo Saxon interpretation of the Viking Elder Futhark alphabet for:
- Tiw (Tiwaz) – believed to symbolise honour, leadership, justice, willingness to self-sacrifice
- Eihwaz (Ihwaz) – believed to symbolise patience, perseverance, wisdom in adversity
This unique necklace is the perfect gift for someone you really admire for their life values or for someone who is having a hard time at the moment – perhaps caring for a loved one who is stretching their tolerance – and needs a little extra support.
Amethyst is the birthstone for February and Catherine the Great, Empress of Russia in the 1700’s, and the longest reigning female Russian leader, was an avid fan of this gemstone.
Amethyst is a firm favourite with many ladies. It may be because purple complements all skin tones.

Product Descriptions & Photographs
I have taken great care to show as accurately as possible the colours of the jewellery and gemstones in the photographs. You may notice slight colour variations when you see the piece at home – the colour will vary depending on the settings of the monitor/phone you use.
The photographs are taken ‘close up’ to show the detail and quality of each piece of jewellery. Please ensure that you check the sizes given for each item in the product description for a correct interpretation of the scale.
Please contact me if you would like more information or have any queries.
Hallmarking
In the UK, by law, any sterling silver item which weighs over 7.78g can not be sold unless hallmarked by a UK Assay Office. It is illegal to sell sterling silver items over 7.78g without a hallmark.
This pendant is hallmarked by the Sheffield Assay Office, including my sponsor mark – giving you absolute confidence in the quality of the materials used.
Please see my Blog section to learn more about hallmarking.
Taking care of your jewellery
I create every item with the utmost care and love and I package your jewellery personally, taking the same care, to ensure that it leaves me in tip top condition. Silver jewellery should stay looking beautiful for years to come so long as you take care of it.
Precious metals tarnish due to oxidisation – like a cut apple when it turns brown. This happens when it is exposed to oxygen (which is obviously in the air), but don’t stress. For tips on caring for your silver jewellery, see my Blog section.

Refund Policy
Customer satisfaction is paramount to me. My sincere wish is that you are completely satisfied with your purchase of unique jewellery. If, however, there are any problems with your order, please do not hesitate to contact me in order that we can discuss how best I may help resolve the matter (my email is: linda@jewellerybylinda.co.uk).
If, for any reason, you are unhappy with anything you have purchased, I am happy to accept returns. Please read my terms, set out below:
If you change your mind
I understand that sometimes you may change your mind, or the order was not quite what you expected. If you change your mind please contact me in writing or by email within 7 days of receipt of your jewellery, and return any items to me within 14 days of receiving the package. See below for more specific information.
Please understand that unless damaged or faulty, I am not legally obliged to accept returns for personalised orders where it can not be resold.
Within the parameters set out in this Refund Policy, I will issue you a refund of the cost of the order within 14 days of receipt of the returned item(s). The return postage will be at your cost – shipping costs can not be refunded unless the item is faulty.
I ask that you please return the item to me securely wrapped in a fully ‘re-saleable’ condition, i.e. unworn and unaltered and in the original packaging. I recommend returning goods by Royal Mail special delivery as any damages or losses incurred during return may mean I am unable to refund you. As a minimum I recommend that Signed For postage with suitable insurance cover be used.
Any orders which are not collected from the post office or sorting office and are subsequently returned to sender will only be refunded once received back with me. This is known as a forced return and as such, postage costs will not be refunded.
The refund will be to the source originally used to purchase the order.
Please see ‘Exceptions’ below:
Care instructions are provided on each product listing and a refund will not be offered for any item which has been damaged or broken due to mishandling or improper care.
If your jewellery is faulty or damaged in transit
I create every item with the utmost care and love and I package your jewellery personally taking the same care to ensure that it leaves me in tip top condition. In the unlikely event that the jewellery is damaged in transit please contact me within 5 working days of receipt by you, in writing or by email. Please include photographs/video showing the damage.
I will offer either a full refund, exchange or repair. I will consider these instances on a case by case basis. In the case of faulty goods I will refund you the cost of your return postage once I receive the returned item. As this will be an additional amount beyond your original order the refund for your return postage costs will be processed via PayPal using your email address. Please retain postal receipt and proof of postage.
Exceptions
I will send your earrings in a clear sealed bag so you can have a good look at them. Regretfully, if the seal is broken the earrings cannot be refunded for hygiene reasons. Please take care to check details of sizes, etc. given on the website before you place your order.
As silver naturally tarnishes over time and this can be accelerated when exposed to chemicals, cosmetics etc., jewellery is not classed as faulty if tarnished.
For any items judged to be damaged due to improper use or when reasonable care has not been taken by you, I reserve the right to seek recompense from you for damages. This does not affect your right to a full refund.
General Conditions of return:
• Unless damaged or faulty (see above) buyers are responsible for return postage costs. In all situations I always recommend using a tracked service.
• Take care when packaging your item for return to ensure the item is received by me unworn and in its original condition. The buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
• If possible please reuse the original packaging.
• Remember to obtain proof of postage from your Post Office.
• Please enclose a note with your contact and order details or your original invoice
• Ensure the item(s) is returned within 14 days from the date of delivery.
The refund will be to the source originally used to purchase the order.
