A brooch is a very thoughtful gift that can be given as a gift for many occasions.
This sterling silver butterfly brooch has been hand made by myself using traditional techniques and started life as a sheet of silver and some silver wire.

This silver butterfly brooch would make an ideal gift for a nature lover or gardener or as a wedding anniversary gift or a Mother’s day gift. A brooch may be a very traditional gift but a contemporary brooch is also very on trend making it a perfect gift.
This butterfly brooch has been handmade by myself from sterling silver sheet and wire, it has a u-shape to it with a textured butterfly on one half and a flower and a little leaf on the other. I have created the silver flower with a double layer, each layer has five petals and there is a little ball soldered to the centre.
It’s the perfect brooch to wear over Spring and Summer.
Each part of the brooch is hand cut and so there may be small variations between the brooch you receive and the one in the image although the sizes and positioning of each part will be the same.
You will receive this handmade brooch in a Thistledown Wishes gift box and I am happy to post directly to the recipient if it is a gift.

Packaging & Gift Wrapping
Thistledown Wishes jewellery is delivered gift wrapped in a branded eco-friendly gift box and tied with a biodegradable ribbon. The gift boxes have been chosen so that they can fit through a letter box, I am happy to deliver directly to a friend if the purchase is a gift and I can include a free gift note with your message.
Dispatch
The majority of Thistledown Wishes jewellery is ready to ship and will be dispatched within 2 working days. Any pieces that are made to order such as rings will be dispatched within 3-5 working days. You will be kept up to date with the progress of your order through email. If you need an order by a specific date then please contact us and we will try our best to accommodate you.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order then please contact us as soon as possible and before the item is dispatched. If it is not a custom order then a full refund will be issued, if it is a custom order that work has already bee started on then a partial refund will be processed. If the order has already been dispatched then a refund will be issued when the piece has been returned.
UK Shipping
Delivery to UK addresses is FREE. Our handmade jewellery will be shipped from Scotland, UK using Royal Mail either first class delivery or tracked. In general you will take around 2 working days to reach you once it has been dispatched but please note that delivery dates are approximate and cannot be guaranteed, at busy times such as Christmas delivery times can take longer. If your delivery has a tracking number it will be emailed to you when the order is complete.
Please make sure that your mailing address is correct. If you notice a mistake after placing an order and it has not yet shipped then please contact us and we will correct the delivery address for you. We cannot be held responsible for any lost orders due to an incorrect delivery address.
International Shipping
Please contact me before ordering if you live outside of the UK. Different countries have different Hallmarking laws and therefore I am not able to send to every country.
International orders are sent from Scotland, UK via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed at a cost of £10. Delivery times vary depending on the country of delivery but you will be able to track your order. Your tracking number will be emailed to you when the order is complete. Please note that orders can be delayed in customs and any customs charges incurred are the responsibility of you, the customer. VAT, Import, Excise and other Duty and Processing fees ARE NOT INCLUDED in the purchase price or shipping charges.
Refund Policy
Returns
We offer a 14-day return policy for all of our jewellery products. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a full refund or exchange within 14 days of the purchase date. It must be returned unworn and in the original packaging.
To initiate a return, please contact us with your order number and reason for return. We will provide you with instructions on how to proceed with the return process. Once your returned order has arrived we will contact you and issue a refund within 48 hours. We cannot be held responsible for any returned orders getting lost so please retain your proof of postage incase you need to make a claim with the delivery company that you have used for your return.
Custom orders
Custom orders cannot be returned as they cannot then be resold. If we are working on a custom order with you then you will be kept up to date at all points to check that you are happy with the piece.
Earrings
Earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless faulty.
Damaged orders
In the unlikely event that a piece of jewellery arrives damaged please contact us straight away with a photograph of the issue. We will then send out a replacement piece or if that is not possible due to the piece being a one-of then we will issue a refund.
