Scottish thistles made by Carole’s Glass.
A while ago I was asked to make a Scottish thistle for a customer and this was the design I created which was very well received and always seems popular.
These have been made using 4 types of green stained glass for the leaves and stem and purple corella glass for the flower head. Tinned copper wire has been used to add detail to the flower head.
The suncatcher has been made by hand cutting the glass, grinding and washing before foiling and soldering together, the detail added and then a final wash and polish.
This measures 12cms wide by 13.5cms high.
I one have 2 thistles available and you will be able to select the one you’d like.
It will look beautiful in any window and does not have to be in a window which gets full sun, the beauty of the glass will be visible wherever it is.
I will supply a window hook with every suncatcher so the glass can be hung as soon as received. Just remember to wet the plunger before pushing firmly onto the window.
I normally post within two days of purchase. This will be sent using Royal Mail Tracked 24.

All items, excluding those made to order, are normally posted within two working days. I use Royal Mail for all my postings.
Method of posting will be as follows:
- Value up to £20.00 will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 with no signature.
- Value £20.01 - £50.00 will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 with no signature.
- Value £50.01 and above will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 with Sighature.
- If you require Special Next Day Delivery where the item is guaranteed to be delivered by 1.00pm the following day (does not include Saturday / Sunday / Bank Holidays please contact me before ordering as this will incur an additional charge.
If you would like your item to be sent by Special Next Day Delivery please contact me prior to ordering so I can amend the postage.
Items made to order will normally be posted within 14 working days
Refund Policy
Please note items made to order and special orders are non refundable unless damaged when received.
If you are unhappy with your sunctcher or it is damaged upon receipt please contact me immediately and send photos of the damage.
The item must be returned in the original packaging within 14 days for a refund. Proof of posting is recommenced for your benefit. Once received I will be able to action a refund.
Please be aware that as these items are made from glass they need to be well packaged otherwise there is the risk of breakage during posting.
