Shipping Policy
Cards are mailed in recyclable card backed envelopes for protection. Sized according to order quantity - eg A5, A4 etc. Postage costs include an amount for this mailing envelope - currently 20p
I aim to dispatch all orders within 3 business/working days (if not sooner!)
I principally suggest and use Royal Mail first class shipping. I don't suggest second class mail services as often a campervan trundling behind a highland bus on a single-track road to Lost (yes it's a real place) is faster! A tracked service is best, costs more but sometimes is the safest way!
Predicting delivery times is a bit of a dark art from up here on the 58th Parallel and vary greatly depending on the shipping method selected and the destination of your order. Patience is a virtue and needs to be practiced. Domestic orders using first class post typically arrive within 3-7 business days if the wind is blowing your way!
Shipping costs too are alchemy, calculated from and based upon postage class, size and weight. I have scales, weights and envelope sizing templates and use a fixed rate for each level, all are based upon our Royal Mail standard services and restrictions.
Shipping to areas out-with the UK is for now, unavailable it's a disproportionately administrative exercise! If you are desperate to acquire however, drop me a line and I'll see what's possible!
If there are any unforeseen delays (illness, rain, snow, midges, mist etc etc) you will be contacted by me and kept informed. Remember its one person doing the running but I want to do it well!
Refund Policy
Returns and Cancellations: in the event that you need to return an item, please contact me within 14 days to arrange this. Customers are liable for return postage. The item must be returned in its original protected envelope and in original condition within a further 14 days. Once checked, the item cost only will be refunded to you within 5-7 business days of receipt.
It is recommended that returns are posted using a tracked method, or that the buyer obtains proof of posting.
Exchanges: not accepted, the cards will always find an occasion!
Customers should always contact me in the first instance through the site about issues with any order. Communication is key.
Data
I Iain Stewart am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my shop Little Worlds of Art on The British Craft House.
When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address, telephone number and email address from The British Craft House in order to process your order. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order or to deal with any queries you have related to that order.
The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your The British Craft House order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below; nor will I add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
• With The British Craft House to comply with my obligations.
• With mail delivery companies or couriers in order to fulfill your order.
• To comply with any legal or tax obligations that I have.
I will only retain your details for as long as necessary and in order to process the transaction. I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time, I will delete your data from my records.
You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.
