A simple Wild Rose leaf necklace, made using silver clay paste to transform the original leaf into a solid fine silver (99.9% pure silver) replica of the original leaf.
The process of leaf creation starts with finding and picking a suitable leaf – not too big, as I like delicate leaves. I then layer paint the silver clay paste until it is thick enough to withstand the firing process. As it is being fired all of the organic compounds in the clay burn away, as too does any of the leaf that is still stuck to the clay. What is left after firing is solid fine (99.9% pure) silver.
This particular leaf came from a Wild Rose plant growing on the edge of a field in the village where I live in the South-Downs in Hampshire.
The silver leaves I use for my designs are made in very small batches, often to order, so there is minimal impact on the plant or other wild users of the plant! Which also means, of course, that the finished piece is truly one of a kind – just like each individual leaf in nature!
The leaf is hung from a sterling silver chain to create a subtle and simple necklace connecting you with nature every time you wear it!

Drop length from chain to bottom of leaf is approx. 3.5cm.
Total length of sterling silver chain including clasp measures 45cm/18 inches.

Items will be processed and despatched within 3 working days and shipped by Royal Mail Tracked 24 as standard. Shipping is included in the price of all purchases unless stated or agreed otherwise, e.g. if you request to upgrade to special delivery.
I aim to minimise the amount of packaging I use when sending items to reduce waste, whilst also seeking to present the everyday treasures beautifully, and to treat the jewellery as the delicate and beautiful treasure it is, ensuring its safe passage through the British postal system!
All materials used for gift wrapping and packing are made from recycled and/or recyclable materials, which are sustainably sourced and British made where possible!

All of my pieces are handmade with a lot of love and I take great pride in everything I make, and in seeing a smile on your face! I am a strong believer in hand-made meaning quality and also that because each piece is individually made by hand there sometimes may be irregularities on the surface reflecting the organic nature of the materials I work with , which creates truly one of a kind pieces.
