I love making these bowls, the technique is very relaxing and the results always a surprise. The colour in this one is actually a chemical reaction between French Vanilla and Dense white powders which are layered and then manipulated to create the “cracks”. It is capped with a 30cm clear glass circle and fired in a kiln to a specific firing schedule to encourage the development of the crackle texture. The piece then needs to be cold worked around the organic edge and sand blasted to clean the surface before being fired again into a ceramic former to create the shape. It will be sent by tracked Royal Mail which is included in the price. I only deliver within Great Britain
