Handcrafted Fine Silver Wild Flower Daisy Drop Earrings

This hand crafted cute little pair of delicate circular drop fine silver earrings have been made using silver metal clay and daisy flowers picked from a field near my home in the South Downs of Hampshire. The flowers were gently pressed into the clay to create an imprint of the original flowers. Once fired the piece becomes solid fine silver, which was hand finished and polished. The imprint design was subtly aged to highlight the petal patterns. The back of the earring is hammered to give some added Daisy twinkle. The little daisy discs are hung from sterling silver hooks.
This beautiful Daisy was picked from the field in the park at the end of my road, which was absolutely covered in these beautiful Daisies. Did you know Daisies go to sleep at night, and wake up again in the morning when the light returns (which is where its name comes from)? The end result is a pair of solid yet lightweight silver earrings, one a kind, hugged by nature, hand crafted with love and ready to wear with pretty much anything.

All of the imprint jewellery that I make, including these earrings, are similar yet different, just as no two plants, leaves or imprints are ever the same. Each ‘pair’ is therefore not an exact match. All my botanical designs, including these earrings, are made in very small batches, often to order, so there is minimal impact on the plant or other wild users of the plant! Which also means, of course, that the finished piece is truly one of a kind – just like each individual leaf in nature!
The earrings/necklace will arrive wrapped in pale green tissue paper fastened with linen thread, and in a kraft pillow-box. A little handwritten note explaining a bit about the piece is also included. Additional gift wrap options are available, see below.

This cute little pair of delicate dangly silver disc earrings have a subtle imprint of a Daisy flower, which has been gently aged to highlight the imprint. The back of the earring is hammered to give a bit of twinkle.

These designs begin life as precious metal silver clay, which is rolled out, imprinted and cut – sometimes I use a cutter to create more uniform circles, other times I go free-form. (These were cut using a small lid from an essential oil spray!). Once dried, a hole is carefully drilled and each piece is sanded smooth in the right places, by hand. The piece is then ready for firing for which I use a blow torch. The process of firing burns away the organic compounds in the clay, leaving behind a solid piece of fine silver (fine silver is 99.9% pure silver).

The pillow box is sent in a recycled cardboard box filled with eco-friendly, responsibly sourced UK wood wool.

Items will be processed and despatched within 3 working days and shipped by Royal Mail Tracked 24 as standard. Shipping is not included in the price of purchases unless stated otherwise. I am happy to upgrade to special delivery at the appropriate additional cost.
I aim to minimise the amount of packaging I use when sending items to reduce waste, whilst also seeking to present the everyday treasures beautifully, and to treat the jewellery as the delicate and beautiful treasure it is, ensuring its safe passage through the British postal system!
All materials used for gift wrapping and packing are made from recycled and/or recyclable materials, which are sustainably sourced and British made where possible!
Sounds obvious, but please carefully check that the details of the mailing address you have given are correct before confirming your order, especially if it is a gift and is being sent to an address that is different from the billing address.
If you need an order by a specific date/on a shorter timescale, then please let me know and I’ll do my very best to accommodate you!

All of my pieces are handmade with a lot of love and I take great pride in everything I make, and in seeing a smile on your face! I am a strong believer in hand-made meaning quality and also that because each piece is individually made by hand there sometimes may be irregularities on the surface reflecting the organic nature of the materials I work with , which creates truly one of a kind pieces.
I also know that occasionally things might go awry, and if you find that you have a problem with your item please contact me straight away so we can discuss how best to resolve the situation.
