Handcrafted Fine Silver Bramble Leaf Dangly Earrings
£85.00
These one-off dangly fine silver earrings are Bramble leaves that were handmade using silver clay paste to create a solid fine silver replica of the original leaves I picked from local hedgerows in Twyford near Winchester in the South Downs of Hampshire. The whole process of creating the leaves, firing, sanding and polishing has been done by hand, and the result is a pair of shiny leaves in the form of earrings that really sparkle in the light.
Dimensions: Fine silver leaves measure approx. 2.2cm in length x 1.5-1.8cm at the widest point, and approx. 1mm thickness. Hooks and jump ring are sterling sliver. Total earring drop including hooks is approx. 4cm.
The earrings will arrive wrapped in pale green tissue paper fastened with linen thread, in a Hugged by Nature kraft box with a recycled insert. A little handwritten note explaining a bit about the piece is also popped in the box, which is then tied with thread and a gift tag added.
The package will be shipped in 1-3 days and sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 which is included.

This ‘pair’ of Bramble leaf earrings started life as two leaves growing on wild Bramble plants in the Hedgerows on a walking route I often go on in a village in Hampshire near where I live. They were turned into these beautiful twinkly silver versions of the original by using silver clay paste, layer painted and then fired, to create a solid fine silver replica of the original leaves.
These are one of a kind!
Details: Leaves are made of fine silver and measure approx. 2.2cm in length x 1.5-1.8cm at the widest point, and approx. 1mm thick. Hooks and jump ring are sterling silver, and total earring drop including hooks is approx. 4cm.
The process of leaf creation starts with finding and picking a suitable leaf – not too big, as I like delicate leaves. I then layer paint the silver clay paste until it is thick enough to withstand the firing process. As it is being fired all of the organic compounds in the clay burn away, as too does any of the leaf that is still stuck to the clay. What is left after firing is solid fine (99.9% pure) silver.
These leaves were gathered from the hedgerows whilst on a walk through some local woods to see the Bluebells! Producing delicious berries in the Autumn, the blossom of Bramble in the spring is a glorious, and the texture and shape of the leaves make them ideal for working with silver clay paste.
The silver leaves I use for my designs are made in very small batches, often to order, so there is minimal impact on the plant or other wild users of the plant! Which also means, of course, that the finished piece is truly one of a kind – just like each individual leaf in nature!
The natural texture of the leaves has created a real sparkly and twinkly texture now the leaves have been polished, a perfect accessory for every day and any time wear!
All my items will arrive wrapped in pale green recycled tissue paper fastened with linen thread, and in a recycled kraft pillow-box. A little handwritten note explaining a bit about the piece is also included. Additional gift wrap options are available.
The pillow box is sent in a recycled cardboard box filled with eco-friendly, responsibly sourced UK wood wool.
The package will be shipped in 1-3 days and sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 which is included. Other delivery methods are available on request.
COMMISSIONS: You may also like to know that I love taking special requests and commissions – perhaps to celebrate a special birthday or event, or maybe just to turn a favourite ‘something’ you have collected into a piece of jewellery you can wear. So if you’d like to talk about creating something truly unique and bespoke for you or someone in your life please do get in touch, I’d love to help. Previous commissions have included turning a customer’s own sea-glass into a necklace, handcrafting a Bramble flower for a 21st birthday, recreating a dangly Catkin for a favourite sister or some coffee bean earrings for a Barista. It’s also worth knowing that commissions don’t necessarily cost more than items in the shop – it depends what you have in mind – so it’s always worth a no-strings chat.

All of my pieces are handmade with a lot of love and I take great pride in everything I make, and in seeing a smile on your face! I am a strong believer in hand-made meaning quality and also that because each piece is individually made by hand there sometimes may be irregularities on the surface reflecting the organic nature of the materials I work with , which creates truly one of a kind pieces.
I also know that occasionally things might go awry, and if you find that you have a problem with your item please contact me straight away so we can discuss how best to resolve the situation.
