This silver botanical necklace was inspired by the uncurling of fern fronds as they grow into fully formed leaves. It has a very pretty blue amazonite gemstone set in the design and is hallmarked by the Edinburgh assay office. A patina has been applied to the silver to emphasise the detail by slightly darkening the silver. This silver necklace would make a great gift for a nature lover or a gardener and will be delivered gift wrapped.

This silver botanical necklace is probably one of my favourite necklaces. The design was inspired by the uncurling of a fern as it expands into its fully formed leaf. The form of ferns in the woods is lovely at any time of year whether it is in the Spring when they are just emerging from the ground in a tight ball or Summer when they are fully opened and you can see the mathematical form of the repeating leaf. Even in the Winter, when they are brown and dead looking they manage to look inspiring to me.
It will make such a lovely gift for a nature lover or a gardener.
I have made the necklace from sterling silver and have set an amazonite gemstone at the top. Amazonite is believed to have a soothing and calming influence on the brain and nervous system.
The necklace measures 28 x 15 mm including the amazonite gemstone which measures 8 x 6 mm. The chain measures 20 inches. This necklace has been hallmarked by the Edinburgh Assay Office. I have applied a patina to the surface of the silver to slightly darken it and as a result emphasis the detail.

Packaging & Gift Wrapping
Thistledown Wishes jewellery is delivered gift wrapped in a branded eco-friendly gift box and tied with a biodegradable ribbon. The gift boxes have been chosen so that they can fit through a letter box, I am happy to deliver directly to a friend if the purchase is a gift and I can include a free gift note with your message.
Dispatch
The majority of Thistledown Wishes jewellery is ready to ship and will be dispatched within 2 working days. Any pieces that are made to order such as rings will be dispatched within 3-5 working days. You will be kept up to date with the progress of your order through email. If you need an order by a specific date then please contact us and we will try our best to accommodate you.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order then please contact us as soon as possible and before the item is dispatched. If it is not a custom order then a full refund will be issued, if it is a custom order that work has already bee started on then a partial refund will be processed. If the order has already been dispatched then a refund will be issued when the piece has been returned.
UK Shipping
Delivery to UK addresses is FREE. Our handmade jewellery will be shipped from Scotland, UK using Royal Mail either first class delivery or tracked. In general you will take around 2 working days to reach you once it has been dispatched but please note that delivery dates are approximate and cannot be guaranteed, at busy times such as Christmas delivery times can take longer. If your delivery has a tracking number it will be emailed to you when the order is complete.
Please make sure that your mailing address is correct. If you notice a mistake after placing an order and it has not yet shipped then please contact us and we will correct the delivery address for you. We cannot be held responsible for any lost orders due to an incorrect delivery address.
International Shipping
Please contact me before ordering if you live outside of the UK. Different countries have different Hallmarking laws and therefore I am not able to send to every country.
International orders are sent from Scotland, UK via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed at a cost of £10. Delivery times vary depending on the country of delivery but you will be able to track your order. Your tracking number will be emailed to you when the order is complete. Please note that orders can be delayed in customs and any customs charges incurred are the responsibility of you, the customer. VAT, Import, Excise and other Duty and Processing fees ARE NOT INCLUDED in the purchase price or shipping charges.
Refund Policy
Returns
We offer a 14-day return policy for all of our jewellery products. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a full refund or exchange within 14 days of the purchase date. It must be returned unworn and in the original packaging.
To initiate a return, please contact us with your order number and reason for return. We will provide you with instructions on how to proceed with the return process. Once your returned order has arrived we will contact you and issue a refund within 48 hours. We cannot be held responsible for any returned orders getting lost so please retain your proof of postage incase you need to make a claim with the delivery company that you have used for your return.
Custom orders
Custom orders cannot be returned as they cannot then be resold. If we are working on a custom order with you then you will be kept up to date at all points to check that you are happy with the piece.
Earrings
Earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless faulty.
Damaged orders
In the unlikely event that a piece of jewellery arrives damaged please contact us straight away with a photograph of the issue. We will then send out a replacement piece or if that is not possible due to the piece being a one-of then we will issue a refund.
