Handmade Sterling Silver and Sea Glass Green-Blue Necklace
£30.00
A handmade sea glass and silver necklace, as unique as the piece of sea glass itself. This gorgeous blue-green tear-drop shaped sea glass nugget has been handmade into a simple pendant by gently drilling a hole for a sterling silver bail and adding the pendant to a sterling silver chain. This piece of sea-glass has been in my collection for a little while and is one of the very first pieces I ever found on the beach at Seaham.
This piece is a gorgeous teardrop shape, wonderfully smooth, and with the dimples and indentations of glass that has been tossed and swirled by the sea and rubbed by the salt and sand for decades, if not a century. The colour is a deep blue/green sea foam. As it is such a gorgeous piece on it’s own I have simply added a solid sterling silver bail, and a delicate sterling silver chain.
Details: Sea glass measures 2cm x 1.2 cm x 0.5cm (approx); Sterling silver bail measures 1cm; Sterling silver chain measures 45cm (18 inches) including fastener which is a traditional bolt ring clasp.
A beautifully simple and elegant necklace that can be worn everyday, or to complement something more formal – a perfect green for the festive season perhaps?
The necklace will arrive wrapped in pale green tissue paper tied with linen thread, and in a kraft pillow-box. A little handwritten note explaining a bit about the piece is also included.
Additional gift wrap options are available, see below.
POSTAGE INCLUDED: The package will be shipped in 1-3 days and sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24.

This sea glass and silver necklace a has been handmade, taking the beautifully sea-worn blue-green tear-drop shaped sea glass nugget and drilling a hole for a simple sterling silver bail and adding to a sterling silver chain. This piece of sea-glass has been in my collection for a little while and is one of the very first pieces I ever found on the beach at Seaham. Every piece of sea glass that is picked up on beaches, that has been tumbled by the waves and worn by the salt and sand has a unique quality. Each piece is its own shape and colour, with its own history and each piece lends itself to being used in its own way in jewellery. I love working with the essence of each piece to work out the best way to show it off!

COMMISSIONS: You may also like to know that I love taking special requests and commissions – perhaps to celebrate a special birthday or event, or maybe just to turn a favourite ‘something’ you have collected into a piece of jewellery you can wear. So if you’d like to talk about creating something truly unique and bespoke for you or someone in your life please do get in touch, I’d love to help. Previous commissions have included turning a customer’s own sea-glass into a necklace, handcrafting a Bramble flower for a 21st birthday, recreating a dangly Catkin for a favourite sister or some coffee bean earrings for a Barista. It’s also worth knowing that commissions don’t necessarily cost more than items in the shop – it depends what you have in mind – so it’s always worth a no-strings chat.

All of my pieces are handmade with a lot of love and I take great pride in everything I make, and in seeing a smile on your face! I am a strong believer in hand-made meaning quality and also that because each piece is individually made by hand there sometimes may be irregularities on the surface reflecting the organic nature of the materials I work with , which creates truly one of a kind pieces.
I also know that occasionally things might go awry, and if you find that you have a problem with your item please contact me straight away so we can discuss how best to resolve the situation.
