Sea Glass & Moonstone Raincloud Pendant Necklace, Hallmarked
£146.00
This stand-out pendant is a unique ‘one of a kind’ necklace, made from a beautiful piece of pale grey sea glass, which has beautiful and subtle pink undertones and has been naturally formed into gently rounded triangular shape. It has been carefully set into a handcrafted fine silver and sterling silver bezel setting, cut into a cloud shape and hammered for texture.
There are five dangling silver chain ‘tassels’ which are made from the same chain as the necklace, and which represent the ‘raindrops’. Each of these has a really beautiful AA grade Rainbow Moonstone faceted pear-shaped briolette semi-precious gemstone at the end, which have been wire wrapped with very fine silver wire.
The Moonstones are each approximately 6mm in length and have the most stunning flashes of iridescent blue and act as tiny prisms in the light – perfectly representing the effect of falling raindrops.
The sea glass is in lovely condition with a smooth and lightly frosted surface and only one tiny natural inclusion in the bottom right corner, and is a truly gorgeous colour that can appear grey or pink depending on the surroundings.
The sea glass measures approximately 35mm by 19mm, with the cloud element of the pendant itself measuring 46cm by 32mm from the top to the bottom of the silver. The longest chain tassel adds a further 55mm to the total length. It also measures 6mm in thickness at the deepest part.
The pendant has been paired with a strong 2.5mm thick solid sterling silver belcher chain, which gives the necklace a hanging length of 45cm/18″ and fastens with a trigger clasp.
The whole piece has been given an oxidising patina with a brushed satin finish to further enhance the design and bring out the details of the hammered silver base.
Due to its weight this necklace has been fully hallmarked by The London Assay Office.
A truly special piece of jewellery, perfect for sea lovers and weather enthusiasts alike!

About The Gemstones
Deeply linked to the feminine and the moon, moonstone is a perfect stone to gracefully create harmony within, and strengthen intuition. It was the stone of gods and goddesses in ancient India and is seen as sacred and regal.
A stone for “new beginnings”, moonstone is also a stone of inner growth and strength. It is said to soothe emotional instability and stress, and stabilise the emotions, providing calmness. Moonstone is also said to promote inspiration, success and good fortune in love and business matters.
About The Sea Glass
Sea glass is broadly defined as glass which has been discarded into the oceans or on beaches, thereafter spending many decades being gently tumbled by the waves. This gives it the characteristic smooth edges and beautiful frosted appearance which defines it.
Every piece of sea glass I use is authentic, genuine sea glass – some of which I collect myself from my local beach, and other pieces which I source from fellow beachcombers located in other parts of the country.
As the glass I use is genuine, ocean tumbled sea glass, it does contain the very tiny indentions and ‘C’ marks on the surface which were created as it spent decades in the water – these are the characteristic signs of its authenticity. These marks are not usually obvious to the naked eye but may be visible in the close-up photographs.
Each item of sea glass jewellery I make will by its very nature be unique and ‘one of a kind’ – the pictures you see here in the listing will be of the exact item that will be received and I always try to give as accurate a description as possible.
About The Packaging & Shipping
Due to weight and value, this necklace already includes the gift packaging upgrade to a ribbon-tied cardboard gift box as standard, which is why the option to select it is not included on this listing. All items are sent in mailing boxes, mailing bags or padded envelopes as appropriate.
Shipping within the UK is already included via Royal Mail’s ‘Tracked 24’ service, with an optional upgrade to Special Delivery available for an additional charge at checkout if required.
If the item is a gift and you wish it to be sent direct to the recipient, then please make sure the mailing address is correct during the checkout process.
I always aim to despatch all orders on the same or next working day that they are received, so any upgrades in postage chosen by a customer will be for the purposes of achieving higher priority and more accurate tracking within the Royal Mail system itself, rather than a faster processing time from me as a seller.
Please be aware that I am unable to guarantee specific delivery times of orders once posted.
Gift Messaging
If your purchase is a gift and you wish to include a handwritten message on a tag then I am more than happy to provide this service free of charge, regardless of packaging choice. Please include any details in the drop-down menu option. As mentioned before, if you wish the item to be sent direct to the recipient then please make sure the mailing address is correct during the checkout process.
If there is anything else at all that you would like to know about a particular item then please don’t hesitate to send me a message and I’ll do my best to help!
Thank you for looking!

About The Jewellery & The Materials I Use
I mainly work with fine silver, 925 sterling silver and 935 argentium sterling silver. The latter is a fairly new alloy which is stronger, brighter, and whiter than traditional sterling and is highly tarnish resistant.
Argentium is also hypoallergenic, making it great for those who have an allergy to traditional sterling silver. I also use copper and brass in my work and often combine it with silver to create more striking mixed-metal designs.
PLEASE NOTE: In accordance with British law, all silver items over 7.78 grams will be hallmarked by The London Assay Office, complete with my maker’s mark ‘KAT’. The exact Hallmarking stamp for metal type will be governed by the lowest classification grade of silver in a piece, which in the majority of cases for my work will be 925 sterling silver. Items under 7.78 grams in weight are not required to be hallmarked by law, but any description will always accurately state the exact composition of metals used. For more information please see the London Assay Office Dealer’s Notice HERE.
Product Images
Every item I make is handcrafted by me to my own designs. Due to the nature of the materials and techniques used, many pieces are unique and ‘one of a kind’, especially when featuring sea glass or other natural materials.
Honesty and accuracy is important to me and most things will be listed and photographed individually – if an item is described as being ‘one of a kind’ then the pictures you see will be of the exact item that will be received by a customer.
If I do create a design that can be accurately reproduced then I may make more than one at a time. This means the same images may be used on repeat listings, where due to the nature of handmade jewellery manufacturing methods there may be some very slight differences or variations between the item shown in photographs and the actual one received.
I will only do so if these variations are absolutely minimal, and in all cases you are always welcome to request more information or images for any item I have for sale before making a purchase.
Care Recommendations
All the jewellery I sell is handmade and as such requires special treatment to ensure its longevity. Aftercare advice on how to best take care of your jewellery is provided in a leaflet and included with all orders.
Please take care to protect it from contact with such things as perfumes, hair sprays, moisturisers and cleaning fluids etc which may contain ingredients that can tarnish or otherwise affect the materials from which it is made. Bleach products in particular can very quickly tarnish silver metals.
Sea glass is somewhat toughened by the tumbling process it has undergone, but ultimately it is still glass and needs to be treated appropriately. In the event that it should become marked or scratched on the surface, a gentle cleaning with a soft brush (such as a toothbrush) and some soapy water should help fix this.

Shipping Policy
All jewellery will be carefully gift wrapped and presented in either a hessian/cotton fabric bag or cardboard gift box, and sent in mailing boxes, mailing bags or padded envelopes as appropriate.
Shipping within the UK is already included via Royal Mail's ‘Tracked 24’ service, with an optional upgrade to Special Delivery available for an additional charge at checkout if required.
If an item is not packaged in a gift box as standard, then the option to upgrade to one will be made available within an individual listing - an additional charge will be applied to cover any increased postage costs.
Items will normally be processed and despatched within 1-3 working days, however I always aim to despatch all orders on the same or next working day that they are received. If, for whatever reason, there is any likelihood that this could be extended then the customer will be contacted.
Any upgrades in postage chosen by a customer will be for the purposes of achieving higher priority and more accurate tracking within the Royal Mail system itself, rather than a faster processing time from me as a seller.
Please be aware that I am unable to guarantee specific delivery times of orders once posted, regardless of shipping method chosen.
Any ‘made to order’ items will have varying despatch times according to the nature of the work involved in producing them, and an estimate will be included in the product description.
Customised items and bespoke commissions will also take longer to create and timescales will be discussed and agreed upon before any work is started on a piece.
Refund Policy
I take great care and pride in everything I create and customer satisfaction is hugely important to me. If there are any problems with an order then please don’t hesitate to contact me straight away and we can discuss how I may best help resolve the situation.
If, for whatever reason, you are not completely delighted with anything you have purchased or if you decide something isn’t quite as expected, I am more than happy to accept returns.
Please contact me within 7 days of receiving your item and return any items to me within 14 days.
I do please ask that the item be sent back to me in a fully ‘re-saleable’ condition – i.e. unworn and unaltered, in the original box and packaging. As soon as the returned item is received a refund will be issued. Shipping costs cannot be refunded unless an item is faulty.
Handcrafted jewellery is made with a great deal of love and care, and it needs the same careful treatment post-purchase in order for it to remain in the condition in which it was received.
Full care instructions are provided with each order and refunds will not be offered for anything that has been damaged or broken as a result of mishandling or improper care.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you need any further help or guidance regarding the care and maintenance of your jewellery and I will be happy to help.
