Pastel Bow Tie Brooch | modern feminine accessory

A bow tie, but not as you know it. Not only is it in the form of a pretty brooch, it is made of fabric and wood also. The fabric in question is a soft faux leather printed with a design I created, a fabric pattern inspired by Chromatography, which you’ll see but the different coloured rings of colour, as if spreading out across the fabric. The finished result gives the impression of dainty watercolour piece, all fluid and softly textural.

The pattern, as I mentioned, is inspired by chromatography and more specifically, my childhood science experiments with Smarties and chromatography paper. I remember being fascinated seeing how many different colours appeared around a single Smartie. The brown ones were always the best and surprisingly most colourful. I truly believe science feels like magic sometimes!
Constructed from not just the quality faux leather, but also a layer of eco plywood; this addition creates a satisfyingly chunky 3d effect that as well as a robustness. You may have noticed from the third photo that I have created the brooch with 2 locking pins, meaning there’s no worry of the bow tie twisting and moving whilst being worn. No comedy spinning Bow Ties for you!

Please note postage is free. Your parcel will be sent out to you using Royal Mail Tracked 48. The postal boxes I use will fit through a standard letter box, so no waiting around for the postman required.
